Love Is In The Air, or Is It Not?
Its only the 2nd day of CNY and the smell of bak kwa is still lingering in the air... but hey, Valentine's day is only barely a week away! Scratching your head and pulling your hair fretting what to buy for HIM/HER?
Can't be bothered with this as its just another commercially exploited day?
Well for me, I don't deny that I do care about Valentine's Day (I count the number of Valentine's Day we have walked passed hand in hand.)
I do give HIM gifts too. (An excuse for indulging in him once in a while)
On the other hand, I do agree that Valentine's Day has become a good marketing tool for companies to draw consumers to spend. Food choices become quite limited on that day due to standard v-day package dinner which the prices are not surprisingly soaring high.
Walking down Orchard Road you will also be amazed at the number of couples in Singapore that are out on this day, makes you start wondering " hmm, ain't us just one of those few thousands out there? ". So why celebrate?
V-day for me would probably be a simple dinner nearby. Nothing fanciful.
So back to the title of this post, is love in the air? I'll update you again after V-Day. *HINT*
